Column contents truncated when exported to Excel file

I am working with SQL Server. I have a table whose contents I want in an Excel file. It has a column "comments", which is of the type varchar. When the result is seen from a query analyzer, the column content is truncated (this is when using the "result in grid layout"). When using winrunner the same is exported to an Excel file. The file contains only the truncated data and not the complete data. Can anyone help me see the complete data in the Excel file?

This is to do with the settings in Query Analyzer (by default truncates to 256 characters). You can change this by going to Tools -> Options then click on the Results tab. Set the "Maximum Characters Per Column" to 8000.

Another option is to use DTS with SQL Server as a data source and Excel as the data location.
