Can SQL Server 2000 work on Windows 2003 platform?

Learn what's needed for SQL Server 2000 to be installed on Windows 2003 platform.

Can SQL Server 2000 work on the Windows 2003 server platform?
Yes, SQL Server 2000 can be installed on Windows 2003. You'll need to install at least Service Pack 3 in order for the SQL Server to accept remote connections – Windows 2003 blocks remote access to the SQL Server until SQL Server 2000 SP3 is installed – however, Service Pack 4 is recommended because it's the latest service pack available for SQL Server 2000.
