Rejoice, DBAs! New supported storage options in SQL Server storage

DBAs can rejoice that they now have multiple options for SQL Server storage. Both Server Message Block (SMB) file share and local disk are now supported storage options, giving IT shops more control over their data than ever before and enabling IT pros to decide whether they want to keep their data local (a good option for those in industries that demand local storage) or move it into the cloud by going the SMB route.
