Immediately following the upgrade, issue UPDATE STATISTICS to ensure the optimizer has the information it needs to access the data in the most efficient manner. If time permits, rebuild the indexes and perform regularly scheduled database maintenance.

With the successful migration behind you, start to research the new technologies available with SQL Server 2005 to determine how they can be beneficial to your business.
