You're aware of the fact that the long-awaited SQL Server 2005 has many new tools and enhancements compared to its predecessor, but do you know exactly which tools changed and how? Or maybe you'll be using SQL Server 2000 for some time yet and you want some tricks to work more efficiently with its built-in tools. Then there are always those handy (and free) third-party tools to help you get your DBA tasks done. Whichever hammer and nail you may be looking for, there's a good chance you'll find an overview of it in this Learning Guide. We'll update it regularly as new, must-have tools become available.

We've noted if the tools discussed within each tip belong to SQL Server 2005, SQL Server 2000 or a third party.
