QUESTION POSED ON: 07 December 2007
Can SQL Server 2000 work on the Windows 2003 server platform?

>
EXPERT RESPONSE
Yes, SQL Server 2000 can be installed on Windows 2003. You'll need to install at least Service Pack 3 in order for the SQL Server to accept remote connections – Windows 2003 blocks remote access to the SQL Server until SQL Server 2000 SP3 is installed – however, Service Pack 4 is recommended because it's the latest service pack available for SQL Server 2000.
