QUESTION POSED ON: 16 December 2005
"A previous program installation created pending file operations on the installation machine."
I get the error above when I want to install SQL Server 2000 Developer Edition. Any clues as to why?

>
That message usually means the system is awaiting a reboot since the last installation/deinstallation operation. Have you tried rebooting first?
