QUESTION POSED ON: 28 December 2005
I am trying to copy a flat file into a table in SQL using DTS, but the flat file has been generated by an AS/400 system and the date is formatted like this (yymmdd=051206). At the time of conversion I want it to be formatted into the datetime SQL datatype format. I am developing in VB.NET. Thank you for you assistance on this.

EXPERT RESPONSE
I would recommend reviewing the CAST and CONVERT syntax in order to properly format the date.
