QUESTION POSED ON: 24 June 2005
I have a SQL Server 2000 with Power Builder 8 for developing. I have a batch application doing a series of operations to update balances with transactions. When I tried to perform the application it took a lot of time to work and I got this message from my server (we have a Windows 2000 advanced server): "sqldriverconnect error." Do you have any ideas?

I am not familiar with the error message, but it seems like a connectivity issue between the Power Builder application and SQL Server. If the error message occurred when the application tried to connect to SQL Server, I would recommend troubleshooting the connection string in your application. If the error message occurred when the application was already connected, I would troubleshoot SQL Server to determine if the max connections are reached or if SQL Server is stressed and unable to process the request.
