Q

Sysprepping an image with SQL Server 2000 installed

I am trying to deploy a sysprepped Windows 2000 Sever image with SQL Server 2000 preloaded. After the image is deployed, a new SQL instance is created however the local user (SQL service) account has a new sid causing SQL Server service to display an error message when trying to start. Are you aware of any fixes or work arounds for syspreping an image with SQL Server 2000 installed?

Drop and readd the service account.
