Q

Restricting access when *.mdf, *.ldf files are copied to another server

I am looking for a solution that would deny access to my database if the files *.mdf and *.ldf were copied onto another server. It seems that when this happens, any server can attach to my database and view the data with the "SA" account.

There isn't anything built into SQL Server for this. You need to practice good security policies on the server. That means you are only granting admin access to the people who need it. You can controlling access to the file system. You control who can start/stop services. You audit the activities on your server that need to be controlled.
