Q

Pros and cons of data warehousing with SQL Server 2000

I was wondering if you could quickly outline the pros and cons of data warehousing with SQL Server 2000.
The pro for the business is a system to support decision making. The pro for IT is the opportunity to work on a new system. The con is if the project is improperly planned and managed, it could require a great deal of time and budget. Data warehousing projects are typically long term, but can offer many benefits to the organization from a tactical and strategic perspective.
