Q

Identifying new user accounts

Security expert Steven Andres explains the one way you can identify when new user accounts are created.

I found a new user created on my database. Is it possible to know when this user logged in or changed some data?
If you have logging enabled, you should be able to see the new account created. However, by default there is very little SQL logging enabled (a deficiency I hope is rectified in SQL 2005).
