Q

Encrypt a CSV file using stored procedure in SQL Server 2000

SQL Server Development expert Greg Low explains how to encrypt a CSV (comma-separated values) file.

How can I encrypt a CSV file using stored procedure in SQL Server 2000?
In SQL Server 2000, you would need to shell out to run a command to do this (via xp_cmdshell) or create an extended stored procedure that you call from the code. In SQL Server 2005, you could do this with a CLR stored procedure.
